I've owned over a dozen shakers over the years and this one worked the best. #1 feature - the size. Holding almost a quart, you can easily prepare multiple martini's at the same time. #2 it doesn't leak. You can bruise your cheapest gut rot 'till enough ice forms on the sides to make tiny snowballs to throw at your guests without the fear of loosing a drop. #3 the pour - smooth, clean, no spillage. Two words of advise: a) The top cover is for decoration and shouldn't be used during drink preparation. b) If someone asks "where do the batteries go" just make a super smooth dirty joke or better yet a super smooth dirty martini and have a chuckle.
